FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO THE HOMELESS

Since 2009, Serve the City Paris has organized food distribution for the homeless and the refugees throughout Paris. Today, our Association now delivers food to over 400 homeless and refugees each week, and we also provide food for integration events, sports activities, and other philanthropic missions throughout Paris.

Today, we have over 3,000+ volunteers in the city of Paris who have signed up to help with our food distribution program. Most of these volunteers are English speaking ex-patriots, immigrants, and French citizens who speak English.   (For most of the refugees in Paris, English is their first language).

At least 4 days a week, you will find a group of Serve the City Paris volunteers meeting in the morning at La Caféothèque in the 75004 of Paris, before heading out across Paris to deliver food to refugees and the less fortunate.    The whole activity takes 2-3 hours maximum.

Volunteers go out in small groups to various areas around Paris (rue St. Honoré, Chatelet, Gare St Lazare, Opera, Porte de la Chapelle, Gare de Lyon, Austerlitz, Republique, St. Germain, Bastille, Nation or République). Or, you can just take the food to the neighborhood where you live and hand out sandwiches there.

If you are interested in participating as a volunteer with Serve the City Paris, first please fill out a volunteer registration form found on our website here.    Then you will be prompted to pay the 20 Euro donation to participate in STCP volunteer activities.   Once the 20 Euro donation is paid, a link to sign up to various activities will be provided.

We also ask all our new volunteers to take at least one SAVE volunteer training workshop before volunteering.   A list of workshops are provided along with the volunteer activity signup sheet, once the volunteer registration form is completed.

Alternatively, you can join S.A.V.E.    As a SAVE member, the 20 Euro donation is included in the membership fee and you have access to other weekly workshops, SAVE member only volunteer activities and events, and you collaborate with other SAVE members on social impact projects (SAVE CAPSTONE projects) over a period of 2-3 months.

We look forward to having you on the team, serving the city and those who are marginalized in Paris.
